Building in the Mid-South and beyond since 1981.

Leadership

Mission

Our mission at Metro Construction is to provide exceptional customer service to each of our clients by devoting our time and attention to every job, from start to finish.

History

Joe Savage founded Metro in 1981 as an interior specialties contractor. A late-1980s remodel of the Ridgeway Inn opened the door to general contracting. Since then Metro has built commercial projects across the Mid-South, including renovations of the Peabody Hotel, the redevelopment of the Peabody Place historic block, the Fire Museum of Memphis, and the historic WDIA building. That work earned Metro a reputation as the construction company for historic renovations. The same standard shows up for FedEx, the Lipscomb & Pitts building, and projects across healthcare, education, hospitality, industrial, religious, retail, and commercial space.
